D2D gets New Music Canada Track of the Day, Jan 23

Hey wikked, Craig Norris from CBC Radio 3 just named Get On The Bus 'New Music Canada Track of the Day'!

from his writeup:
"The name Delhi2Dublin leapt out at me. Lately, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's Musht Musht album has been in pretty heavy rotation on the ol' ipod, so I was intrigued by a potential Desi/Celtic marriage. These musical marriages don't always work. Sometimes they are merely a novelty. Not so in the case of "Get On The Bus". Here, the fusion is almost seamless. The constant, almost hypnotic groove with layer upon layer of sound seems chaotic at first. Then the familiar (for me, anyway) Celtic feel sits on top of it and I'm drawn even further into the track. I think I can even hear a fiddle line from the traditional Irish tune "When Will We Be Married Molly?"

I don't know if it was done on purpose, but I listened to this track while on the bus, and it was transcendent. If you're downloading this to your mp3 player, try to take it in while riding mass transit."

CDs are selling really well, better than we could have imagined. We're out of our first order, and are now working on re-stocking. Festival Distribution will be handling all of this real soon

what a crazy night....

thanks to all those (450 people!) who came out to join us on the dancefloor last thursday. what a beautiful vibe! it was so great to see so many familiar faces (and many new ones as well...)

and a special thanks to our guests Adham Shaikh, Jacob Cino and DJ Collage. They all killed it... the place was just bumpin!

our next show is in Jan, we look forward to making it happen again

Where to get CDs

Thanks so much for the positive feedback... lots of nice emails coming in!

CDs will be available soon (in a week or so) from CD baby. Digital downloads will be available from them too, and from iTunes and other stores in about a month. If you live in Vancouver you can pick up copies at Highlife... OR come to our release party this thursday and pick up one in person! We're working on a couple of other retailers at the moment in the Vancouver area. We're also working on getting nationwide in-store distribution, but that may take a month or so.
