The fall marks the end of yet another stellar summer, and also the 3rd annual D2D SUMMER MIXTAPE! Yay! Featuring selections from all the rad artists we heard at festivals this summer, people we collaborated with, and sometimes just music that we got turned on to, this mixtape is an hour of respite from the coming cold weather. The #occupycanada Tour

On the road again…Literally – over 9,000km of road! Delhi 2 Dublin are on the way to the first show of the fall tour in Banff (Oct 19). From there, it’s shows all the way along the road to Manitoba, where D2D play the The Garrick Centre with good buddies, OKA. Then down through the states, rockin’ out in Madison, Chicago and New York (just naming a few!) As it gets colder, it’s back up to Canada for the Maritime shows (don’t worry Toronto, you get yours first – Nov 12!). Too many to list, so you’re just going to have to check out the shows page to see for yourself. #occupycanada it is!

Endless Summer tour kickoff

As the rain sets into Vancouver (for the next 8 months!), Delhi 2 Dublin is heading south, chasing sunshine and some funtimes. First stop is Bellingham tonight, then stops all along the way to Earthdance in Cali on Sept. 24th. Shows are all posted, with lots more to come across Canada in November. Also, if you’re missing the sun, and need some tunes to get you through, check out the JUST RELEASED Delhi 2 Dublin EP: Delhi 2 Dubland. and Delhi 2 Dublin! This Saturday Sept. 3rd, Delhi 2 Dublin is playing the Fair at the PNE for the first time. Spend your last hot Saturday night of the summer making this dance party crazy. D2D will have special guests joining them on-stage: MC Ndidi Cascade, percussionists Paul Bray and Liam MacDonald, and Richard Brown on drums. For the first time ever, D2D will play Dublin, Ireland on Aug. 29, 2011. Also on the quick UK tour are dates at Shambala Festival near Birmingham and the Belfast Mela Festival. See shows page for details.

Some of you may remember a couple of months back (on an epic drive between Minneapolis and New York City), we asked for a bunch of suggestions for road trip music. To our surprise, that was the hottest facebook topic we’ve ever had – tons of people wrote back suggesting their favorite roadtrip jams. It took us a while (cause some of this stuff was obscure-ishq!), but we dug up a bunch of the tunes, did some editing, and wove them together into the most schizophrenic roadtrip mix we’ve ever listened to. We can’t guarantee it’ll be pretty all the way thru, but definitely worth a listen – with the likes of Collie Budz, TV on the Radio, Bluetech, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, etc etc. There’s bound to be some tunes on there you’ve NEVER heard before.
